How To Use Magnets Generator To Slash Your Home Electricity Bill
The concept of using a magnets generator at home is very similar to a residential solar panels and wind turbine system. You will need a device to generate electric current which can be used to charge a battery bank.
A generator powered by magnetism is utilizing the pulling and pushing forces of magnets. From high school science classes, we know that magnets with similar pole will repel each other. On the other hand, the opposite poles will attract each other.
How do we take advantage of the natural forces of magnets? We make a device which will take the magnetic forces and convert it into kinetic energy.
To build a magnet driven device, you begin with a piece of round plate measuring about 2 feet in diameter. The plate should be light weight and durable and to be supported at the center with a core attached to bearings.
Next, place positive pole magnets around the circumference at similar interval from each other. The following step is to place more positive pole magnets outside the plate on a fixed location.
Allow all the magnetic bars to come close to each other but do not touch. Due to the similar poles, the bars will repel each other hence spinning the circular plate.
If the device is well balanced, the plate will rotate on its horizontal axis and begin to gain momentum. To harness the kinetic energy, attach a belt from the central core to an electric generator. The belt will rotate the generator thus creating electric current.
To make use of the electric current, the generator is to be connected to a charge controller via copper cables. The charge controller will use the current to charge a series of battery.
For domestic use, the type of battery most suitable is the true deep cycle kind. This type of battery is used on all electric golf carts. They are very durable and can withstand low level discharge without damaging itself.
Since the power output from the magnets generator is very small, it will take some time to fully charge the battery. When it is charged, you can now use the stored electricity to run your Home Electrical Appliances.
But before that, you have to use a power inverter to change the Direct Current (DC) from the battery to Alternate Current (AC). All the electronic gadgets nowadays are designed to run mainly on AC. To make use of the electricity, pull an extension cable from the power inverter around your living rooms for easy access.
